Feeding Directions

MILKING DAIRY GOATS

For milking does on grass hay:  1 pound of 16% Goat Feed for 2 pounds milk produced per day.

For milking does on alfalfa hay:  1 pound of 16% Goat Feed for 3 pounds milk produced per day.

Provide free choice trace mineral salt/selenium for all types of forage.

 

DRY DOES

Feed with grass or mixed hay at the rate of 0.5 lb - 1.0 lb per day (according to body condition). 

Provide free choice trace mineral salt/selenium for all types of forage.

 

GROWING GOATS

Feed to growing goats from two weeks of age to maturity along with excellent quality hay. Do not exceed 55% of the ration as grain. Do not allow growing animals to become over or under conditioned.
