Features and Benefits

15% Pullet Grower Crumbles

  • Nutritionally-balanced complete feed-no need for supplementation
  • Supports healthy growth and development of pullets
  • Crumble form encourages adequate consumption rate
Feeding Directions

Feed as the sole ration to pullets 12 weeks of age as a finishing diet until they begin laying (typically 18 to 24 weeks of age).  Continue to feed until hens begin egg production then gradually transition to BUCKEYE™ Nutrition 16% Prosperity Layer Crumbles.  Restrict lighting, if possible, to less than 14 hours per day when pullets are less than 20 weeks of age to discourage premature laying.

Provide clean, fresh water at all times and make pullet-sized grit available as needed.

Tips for Managing Young Pullets:

  • Young chicks require a clean, well-ventilated, dry brooder with one
square foot of floor space per chick.
  • Provide bedding material to keep the brooding area clean, such as
wood shavings, and a heat source such as a heat lamp positioned
about 18 inches above the bedding material.
  • Feed should be readily available for chicks in a small pan or on the
flood of the brooder until they learn to recognize the food source and appropriate-sized feeders can be used.
  • At 12 weeks of age, slowly transition chicks to 15% Pullet
Grower Crumbles. Mix both feeds in equal parts
for four to five days to prevent digestive issues.
  • Once pullets begin to lay, provide at least 14 hours of light per day
and slowly transition to 16% Prosperity Layer Crumbles. Mix both
feeds in equal parts for four to five days to prevent digestive issues.
